The Society aims to provide a safe environment for its members to get together for our weekly meetings and the various events we hold throughout the year. While we are predominantly a fun-focused social group we also aim to raise the profile of issues that LGBT students are faced with.
Joining DIT LGBT Society
Membership to DIT LGBT costs just €2, is open to all DIT students. You can join the society at any time of the year. Drop into your nearest Societies office, or email us at lgbt@socs.dit.ie with your name, student number, email address and mobile number and we'll sign you up!
If you'd like to come along to an event but are discouraged or nervous by not knowing anyone, get in touch with us by e-mail and a committee member or two can meet up with you beforehand to talk and introduce you to some people!
We hold weekly events throughout the college year, which members are e-mailed and texted about with notice.
